The new 2009 membership is going well. The members that have not paid their 2009 dues have to pay for two years now that the 2010 cards are in. The 2010 renewal notice has gone out please send in your 2010 ASAP. We still have several members unpaid for 2010. Please fill out the update form when sending in your dues so we can update our system. Please be aware that you cannot drink at our legion without your new card. I have also sent out a list with our meeting dates with all your renewals any changes will be posted. The county meetings are the second Thursday of the month anyone that would like to attend please let Bill Bell know. I will also post the county meeting locations at the legion. The sons have been asked to paint the legion banquet hall so we are asking for all sons help. Remember that karaoke with tom and Val has started on the 2nd and 4th Saturday come join us and test out your singing talent. I would like to let you that the sons have joined the josh and friends program. we will be sending out information soon to try to get all our organizations on board this is a wonderful program any questions see Bill Bell. I would like to thank the legion and the Simon Parise Post 9596 VFW from Taft road for donating money to the program. The sons are also selling golf calendars to help fund the josh dog program they are $28 see Bill. Please put money for the calendars in the son’s mailbox. The winter horseshoe tournament is February 27 sign up at the legion so we can get a head count. The cost is 7.50 for the meal or 13.00 for both. We will be having entertainment by Mark VanMarter again this year everyone come enjoy the day and night with us. Remember we still need help Fridays at the fish dinners it’s really been getting busy so come help. We are also looking for a few sons to help out with bingo on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 4-7 sign up at the legion if you can help. I would like to send a big thank you to Gina for helping the sons sell our restaurant raffle tickets great job. Thank you to everyone else who sold the tickets it was a great success. Our thousand dollar raffle will be starting soon and be drawn at clam fest. I would like to say great job on the meal at the sweetheart dance great job Charlie. If any son’s member would like anything put in our news please let me know. You can leave me a note in our mailbox or call me 699-1954 and we will get it in the newsletter.
