The WoW Classic: Season of Discovery Phase 2 release date has calmed down players’ anxiety wishing to dive into Phase 2, to complete levels 25-40, as most of them have already achieved most in Phase 1. However, now with the confirmed release date, players are actively looking for insights into the Season of Discovery Phase 2. Fortunately, videos are being released on WoW’s Official Twitter, giving us an insight into what the Season of Discovery Phase 2 will look like.

Here is the list of major changes that Season of Discovery Phase 2 is bringing in:

Level Cap

In Season of Discovery Phase 1, the initial level cap was set to be 25 by Blizzard upon reaching which players could get access to the raid, however, with the Season of Discovery Phase 2 release, this initial level cap has now been increased to Level 40 which means that players now have to work hard to get to the raid as compared to the SoD Phase 1. Also, the professional level cap in SoD Phase 2, will be most probably increased to level 225 which is currently 150 in SoD Phase 1.

Raid

Reaching the initial level cap, in Season of Discovery Phase 1, you get access to the BlackFathom Deeps Raid, however, while playing level band 2(Level 25-40) in Phase 2, as you reach Level 40, this will be replaced by Gnomeregan raid instance in Season of Discovery Phase 2.

Automatic Crowd Pummeler

One of the items you can get from the Gnomeregan raid in the Season of Discovery Phase 2, will be Automatic Crowd Pummeler. This will be a two-hand Mace, with a base damage of 46-70, with +16 Strength and +5 Agility.

You can equip this weapon when playing Druid, Shaman, or Paladin. Using the weapon, you get a 50% attack speed increase for almost 30 seconds. Though the cool time is 3 min which is relatively slower, but this doesn’t make it any less useful.

Runes

In WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 1, there are only 12 Runes for each class. The Runes can be added to your character’s gloves, chest items, and legs. Therefore, there was a need for more Runes to be added to the Azeroth, which would make players explore a little more.

Specifically, there’s no information yet regarding how many new Runes will be added to the World with the Season of Discovery Phase 2 release. However, Josh Greenfield’s reply on WoW’s Twitter post to one of the comments regarding 2H Enhancement Runes has assured that there are going to be many more Runes in the Season of Discovery Phase 2.

Brand New PvP Event: Stranglethorn Vale (Full of Blood SoD)

Season of Discovery Phase 2 release is going to introduce an entirely new PvP Season Stranglethorn Vale. According to the few glimpses of what we have got in the trailer video, Stranglethorn Vale is going to be a complete Slaughterhouse, full of blood as the Warrior is standing in between the Stranglethorn Vale with a weapon in hand and the sky turns from all normal blue sky to the blood red, giving the scary vibes.

Though the anticipation was, that this event will be a redux of the Ashenvale event of SoD Phase 1, that’s not true. Makers of WoW Classic: Season of Discovery are making sure, that Phase 2 meets the player’s expectations, and thus Josh Greenfield has confirmed that this is going to be an entirely new season.

Talent Points

Another great change that is brought into WoW Classic Season of Discovery is the addition of talent points. In SoD 2 there are going to be 16 more talent points, reaching a total of 32. Thus, by choosing any single specialization, players will finally have an opportunity to reach their full potential, unlocking the complete talent tree which wasn’t possible in Season of Discovery Phase 1.
