How Many Endings Does Blasphemous 2 Have?
Blasphemous 2, unlike its predecessor, presents only two distinct endings. The sequel doesn’t feature any complex or C ending, but still, getting the best ending will require some degree of effort.
Blasphemous 2 features an A Ending, considered more of a secret or best ending, alongside the default B Ending. Of the two, Ending B is generally perceived as a less favorable outcome, while Ending A is widely acknowledged as a positive conclusion.
1. Ending B In Blasphemous 2
The Ending B in Blasphemous 2, as aforementioned, serves as the by-default ending to the game. Therefore, this ending does not require any specific requirements or tedious steps.
You will reach the Ending B on your first playthrough of the game. Since this ending does not preclude you from obtaining Ending A, it is a good option to experience Ending B before jumping on to Ending A.
How To Get Ending B
The Ending B can be accessed by progressing through the main storyline under the guidance of Anunciada. You can simply follow these steps to get the Ending B in Blasphemous 2.
The first step towards this particular Ending is defeating the Three Regret Bosses, which consists of the following:
- Lesmes, Incorrupt Sacristan
- Great Preceptor Radamés
- Orospina, Lady Embroiderer
However, your work will be far from over even after getting rid of the Regret Bosses. Additionally, you will have to defeat the Five Dove Bosses, including the following:
- Svsona, Fermosa Fembra
- Afilaor, Sentinel of the Emery
- Sinodo, Hymn of the Thousand Voices
- Odon of the Confraternity of Salt
- Benedicta of the Endless Orison
After overcoming the bosses, you need to navigate to the Chapel of the Five Doves and proceed to the Crimson Rains area. At the entrance of the Chapel of the Five Doves, a door on the upper left will be open, granting access to the area.
Once you enter the Crimson Rains, you’ll encounter various platforming challenges and enemies. You need to clear the path of enemies and successfully complete all challenges as you ascend to the highest point of the area.
At the summit, you’ll discover a boss room where Eviterno, First of the Penitents, will be lurking. Simply enter the boss room and defeat Eviterno. As he falls, a light emanates from his body.
You will have to stand within the light to receive an invitation to ascend. Accept the invitation to reach the next boss arena.
In this new arena, you’ll confront Devotion Incarnate, The Last Child of the Miracle. To trigger Ending B, all that is required is to defeat Devotion Incarnate.
Ending B Rewards
You will unlock the Second Psalm trophy/achievement as a reward for getting the Ending B in Blasphemous 2.
2. Ending A In Blasphemous 2
The Ending A in Blasphemous 2 requires a more intricate involvement involving the completion of various tasks that can be both time-consuming and challenging. Nevertheless, the rewards obtained make the effort well worthwhile.
How To Get Ending A
When you get to the Ending B in Blasphemous 2, you will be returned to the main menu. From there, you can select your saved file once again. This places you just before the final boss encounter, enabling you to go through the steps leading to Ending A without having to restart the entire game.
The Blasphemous 2 Ending A will require you to collect our unique Altarpieces of Favor. These include:
1. Cierzo: Found in a chest in The Severed Tower after obtaining the Forgotten Tribune chariot from the Choir of Thorns.
2. Jaloque: Available for purchase from the Travelling Merchant in the Crimson Rains for 6,000 Tears of Atonement in Blasphemous 2.
3. Lebeche: Rewarded upon completing The House of Grief and Hatred side quest.
4. Gregal: Located in a chest at the top of the Garden of the High Choirs after finding all 33 of Próximo’s Brothers.
You need first to acquire all four Altarpieces of Favor and then place them into their designated slots. While it’s not necessary to have all slots unlocked, you will, however, need at least one slot open in the bottom right quadrant for the process to be effective.
1. Altarpieces Of Favor Slots
After being accurately arranged, the Altarpieces of Favor undergo a transformation into solid gold, verifying their appropriate positioning. The prescribed arrangement for the Altarpieces of Favor is as follows:
- Gregal – Top Right Quadrant
- Cierzo – Top Left Quadrant
- Jaloque – Bottom Right Quadrant
- Lebeche – Bottom Left Quadrant
2. Incense Of The Envoys
You need to equip yourself with the Altarpieces of Favor and navigate to the Chapel of the Five Doves. Once you get there, ascend to the apex of the room, where the previously sealed door on the right now stands wide open.
You need to step into the room, position yourself before the central brazier, and engage with it to generate the Incense of the Envoys Key Item by igniting the four diligently obtained Altarpieces of Favor.’
3. Incarnate Devotion
When you have delivered the Incense of the Envoys, you will commence the boss battle against Incarnate Devotion in Blasphemous 2. This encounter will resemble the one encountered in Ending B, though it may seem somewhat anticlimactic.
Nevertheless, overcoming the boss in this instance will trigger an entirely new cutscene, signifying the advent of Ending A. So, you should proceed to defeat the boss.
When you’re successful, reload your saved file, and you’ll find yourself just outside the boss chamber, with the Incense of the Envoys still present in your inventory.
If Ending B has not been completed yet, there is an option to decline to offer the Envoys’ Incense before the encounter begins.
Ending A Rewards
The Ending A will unlock the Canvas of Light and Time trophy/achievement in Blasphemous 2.
