The Fallout series has stood the test of time and is still one the the best RPG series. While the latest release in the series was Fallout 76 in 2018, Fallout 5 has been confirmed and has fans excited.

Furthermore, the new Fallout TV show has become a success and widely popular among fans. The show has played a huge part in bringing back old players to the series due to their desire to once again enjoy their favorite games. 6. Fallout 76

The multiplayer-focused Fallout game by Bethesda started off poorly when it was released in 2018. However, Fallout 76 has gotten significantly better since then thanks to expansions and updates that have added quality to the story, roleplaying, and a ton of gameplay.

The second title in the series was released just a year after the original and has similar gameplay and controls. However, other than that Fallout 2 significantly expanded the universe by adding locations, factions, characters, quests, and random encounters through exploration.

Fallout was released in 1997 by Interplay Entertainment and is the one that started the legendary post-apocalyptic RPG series. While the game will feel a little uncomfortable to modern gamers due to the awkward controls and confusion caused by the interface, if you get past that it is an amazing game.

3. Fallout 4

While Fallout 4 is the one of the newest titles in the series and has the best graphics, gunplay, and variety of builds it is not the best in the Fallout series. If you love the action then you will love Fallout 4 as it has the best customizable weapons, gunplay, and combat systems in the series but once the talking starts you will see the weakness. The dialogues and lacking roleplaying opportunities stopped it from being on a higher spot in our list.

2. Fallout 3

Fallout 3 could have easily been the number one on our list but there is a reason why it lost out and we will get to that later. While Fallout 3’s gameplay is not as refined as Fallout 4 it former has better dialogue and writing that makes up for it. The game was the first by Bethesda after they acquired the franchise.

1. Fallout: New Vegas

Fallout: New Vegas is the best game in the series and arguably the best PC and Xbox game ever released. It took Fallout 3 and made it better to become the best Fallout game. New Vegas improved the gameplay mechanics, has better writing and dialogue, more quests, and the open world is filled with characters.
