However, the fact of the matter is that League of Legends tends to have significantly more updates than Dota 2. Additionally, Dota 2 also recently got a major update, which is why some fans assume that Valve will take its sweet time to release another major update for the game.

When Will The Next Dota 2 Update Come Out?

According to Wykrhm Reddy, a programmer, the next major Dota 2 update is slated to come out in April 2024. This will be the biggest update after the huge Patch 7.35d that gave players a bunch of patch fixes drafting updates, and additions to Dota Plus. According to the insider, “Crownfall is being wrapped up and is expected to release mid-April.”

As for when exactly the update will roll out, user u/DrDesmondGaming posted on Reddit that, based on previous updates, the next update will come out on a Tuesday morning from 12:17 PM to 2:48 PM (Seattle Time). However, since this isn’t official information there’s no way to be sure and Valve can change its schedule at a moment’s notice.

What Will The Next Dota 2 Update 2024 Bring?

Now for what we’re sure most of you are waiting for; what will the next major Dota 2 update bring? Well, while every update tends to bring patches and technical changes, and we’re sure the upcoming update will be no different, we know one major new feature that will be part of the upcoming update.

We are, of course, talking about the Crownfall update that is promising to bring a massive, game-changing, update and the release of a new hero The Ringmaster. The Ringmaster was first revealed through his cinematic trailer in October 2023. However, an official release date was not given for the upcoming hero.

Fortunately, fans now know that they can expect to see this hero be added to the game with the upcoming April update. While the Crowfall update was expected to be released sometime in March, it was delayed as Valve wanted to put more time into polishing it, and honestly, we can’t even fault them.
