What is Shroud Wood?
Before we start, let us see what Shroud Wood is and why you actually need it. Well, it’s an item you need if you want to craft important items like the Glider, which is an important tool you’ll need if you want to traverse the large land. Not only that but Shroud Wood also helps you craft the Fell Axe and the Grappling Hook, the former being essential for surviving in the game and the latter for helping you move across the land.
How to Get Shroud Wood?
So, how do we get our hands on this esteemed Shroud Wood? If it’s so essential it should be easy to obtain no? Well, it’s really easy to collect Shroud Wood, all you really need to know is what to do and with the game having so many ways of collecting them, it won’t be a problem. An important thing worth noting is that you can find these on a big portion of the map that’s Enshrouding, so finding those areas won’t be that big of a problem.
Cutting Trees
That’s right, you need to cut trees inside the Shrouded areas if you want to collect Shroud Wood in the game. These foggy areas are usually time-limited which gives you a small timer when you enter them. Remember that Shroud Trees are different from regular trees and that they have a tell which is that they have a small glow so keep an eye out for that.
As is to be expected, Shroud Trees are found in areas full of a large amount of trees, including woods. Luckily, finding a Shroud Tree is much easier than finding a needle in a haystack thanks to the revealing glow that only these trees have, so you should have no problem finding them, especially at night.
Have an Axe
While you can use your fists to destroy the trees, it’s much easier if you just equip an Axe to chop down the tree as time is money and you don’t have a lot of it in the Shrouded areas. Depending on the Tree size you can get up to six pieces of Shroud Wood. If you don’t have an Axe and don’t know how to craft one, you craft an Axe using
- 4 Twigs
- 1 Stone
- 1 String
It’s important to note that Shroud Wood isn’t automatically added to your inventory so make sure you collect them before heading off. If you leave the area without collecting the dropped Shroud Wood then you’ll have to wait for the tree to respawn before harvesting it again, which would just be unnecessarily hectic.
What’s the Best Place to Find Shroud Wood in Enshrouded?
The best place to find Shroud Wood early on is the large shrouded area north of Cinder Vault. There should be a valley near the north where you can find a slope that will lead you to a place full of fog. Another good place to find Shroud Wood is the small area below the bridge near the start of your journey. Just be mindful that you’re near the corner of the shroud area where you can leave the foggy area when you need to so you’re safe.
How to Get Shroud Wood From the Same Place?
The last thing to remember is that destructible objects in Enshrouded respawn very easily, and that includes trees too! What you can do is either just save the game and restart the title so all of the trees are respawned, or you can just wait a few in-game days for it to come back.
We recommend looking for a location you think can be used to farm multiple pieces of Shroud Wood at once, and mark it down on the map or something. Every couple of days you can visit that specific area to harvest the wood and then repeat the process. While this might be a little time-consuming, it’ll ensure that you won’t have to worry about running out of Shroud Wood again.
That’s pretty much it! Good luck with your hunt for Shroud Wood in Enshrouded and traverse the lands. If you liked this guide and want to read a similar one then we recommend you read about Palworld Dungeon Crash Error Fix And Dungeon Locations.
