How to Get Power Cells in Lego Fortnite
Fortnite continues to introduce a bunch of new features in the game. In addition to the fairly new Midas Power Stations, the game has also introduced new vehicles that players can ride around with. However, there’s just one tiny problem. It isn’t exactly free to drive the vehicles and you can use them for however long you want.
Well, that’s where Power Cells come into play. Several vehicles in LEGO Fortnite specifically require the use of Power Cells. For those who don’t know what LEGO Fortnite is, it’s literally just LEGO and Fortnite, and it’s a hell of a good time.
Today, we’re about to go through everything you need to know about Power Cells in LEGO Fortnite, including how you can get them and what they do.

What Are Power Cells in Fortnite?
Power Cells have two major uses that make them borderline mandatory for LEGO Fortnite players. The first is that they have to be used to unlock pre-made Vehicle recipes. This means that if you want to unlock a new Vehicle then you’ll likely need to use a Power Cell otherwise you’ll be stuck running on the ground.
Additionally, and here’s what makes Power Cells truly important, Power Cells are also required to power your Vehicles via the Power Centers. That’s right, without a Power Cell, your created vehicles literally won’t move.
Before you learn how to make Power Cells in Fortnite it’s also crucial to keep in mind that Power Cells, just like real-world batteries, have a set amount of life. Therefore, if you want to keep powering your vehicles then you’ll likely have to make multiple Power Cells throughout your gaming career.
How To Get Power Cells in Fortnite
Fortunately, you don’t necessarily have to go out scavenging for Power Cells since the game gives you the ability to simply craft Power Cells yourself. However, before you do that, you’ll need to unlock the recipe for Power Cells.
Getting its Recipe
The first step for unlocking the Power Cell recipe is to craft your first Compost Bin. This can be done by using the following materials:
- Five Planks
- Two Soils
- Three Fertilizers
After you’ve crafted a Compost Bin, keep chucking random materials into it until you eventually make Biomass. The first time you finally make Biomass you’ll automatically unlock the recipe for Power Cells in your Crafting Bench
Crafting the Power Cell
Finally, you can start crafting your Power Cells. If you don’t see the Power Cell recipe then you’ll have to level your Bench up until it appears. You’ll notice that you’ll require 50 Biomass and 6 Glass to craft a single Power Cell.
While we’ve already told you how to make Biomass, you can get Glass by using a shovel to get Sand from a desert or beach biome and crafting a Metal Smelter to create Glass from the Sand. Once you have the required materials, you can go to your Crafting Bench and build your Power Cell. It’s now time to start vrooming around the Lego-based world of LEGO Fortnite.
This concludes everything you need to know about where to get Power Cells in Fortnite and how you can use them. Now you can start experimenting with all sorts of vehicles in LEGO Fortnite to see which one you like the most. For more from GamingFlaws check out Roblox: Criminality Codes (March 2024).
