“We are continuing to look at ways to engage new players and retain our loyal community. However, there is currently no plan to make Rainbow Six Siege a free-to-play game.”

While Rainbow Six Siege doesn’t have permanent plans to transition into a free-to-play model, there are ample opportunities to experience the game for free.

Ubisoft has consistently provided Free Play Weekends that allow you to experience the game to its fullest for free. The free version of the game offers access to all maps and modes, giving you the full Siege experience over the Free Week.

It includes the online co-op mode that allows you to play with friends and also supports the preload for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.  However, the best part is that your progress and the purchases from the Free Weekend will carry over to the full game if you decide to purchase the full version of the game.

The free weekends are accessible during different periods of the year, depending on the platform you’re playing on. Typically, they coincide with the release of new seasons or other significant events in Rainbow Six Siege.
