Well, it seems like Poppy Playtime, the popular horror game, might be coming to the best Roblox horror games list soon, as the developers announced that a version of the popular horror game series will be coming to Roblox.
Poppy Playtime is a 2021 episodic horror video game developed and published by American indie developer Mob Entertainment. One might say it’s the modern-day Five Nights at Freddy’s, which is why it’s garnered such a dedicated and loyal fanbase that early anticipates every entry in the series, even the Roblox one titled Poppy Playtime Forever.

What is Poppy Playtime Forever
First things first; what even is Poppy Playtime Forever? Poppy Playtime Forever is a spinoff game set in the Poppy Playtime universe and built using the Roblox game engine. Developed by Jazwares and Mob Entertainment, the game is essentially a puzzle game in which players are tasked with completing several objectives while escaping from various monsters.
While we don’t know for sure which monsters will be in the game, we did get a glimpse of Huggy Wuggy, and other monsters will also presumably be in the game. We believe the game will fit perfectly in the Roblox horror genre, as it’s fairly similar to other Roblox games, including Doors and Rainbows.
Some of the puzzles that were shown in the initial release trailer were a laser puzzle, finding fuses, and hitting monitors. We also believe there will be a variety of maps based on the other Poppy Playtime entries, including one set in the Daycare, although the name of the Daycare map will likely be changed to Playcare or something similar.
Fortunately, just like the other Poppy Playtime games, you don’t necessarily have to go through the game alone. Instead, you can play through the entire game either in single-player or with a couple of friends making the experience even more fun and memorable.
Finally, and perhaps the best thing about Poppy Playtime Forever, is the fact that you can literally build your own levels. That’s right, build your own levels to challenge your friends and strangers all over the world, or try out levels created by others to see who truly is the best survivalist in Poppy Playtime Forever.
Is Poppy Playtime Forever Canon?
Unfortunately, Poppy Playtime Forever is not canonically set in the rest of the Poppy Playtime universe. Despite the fact that Mob Entertainment, the original developers of the Poppy Playtime games has a part in Poppy Playtime Forever, the plot of Poppy Playtime Forever will not be canon to the original story.
What this means is that there won’t be any underlying information given to fans about where the rest of the Poppy Playtime games will be going, making this a complete spinoff game both in gameplay and in lore.
Not making the game canon does make sense, however, mostly thanks to the ability for players to build their own levels. While fans can expect to see characters and locations from the mainline Poppy Playtime games, they should go into it thinking it’ll be connected to the rest of the games.
Poppy Playtime Forever Release Date
Poppy Playtime Forever is slated to be released on February 29, 2024. Surprisingly, the developers announced the game just a couple of days before the game was slated to officially be released, making some fans wonder why they didn’t release trailers and other marketing material leading up to it.
