Rise of the Ronin Release Date and Platform Details
Ghost of Tsushima and Elden Ring are two of the most loved games in modern memory, but it seems as though someone had the question of what would happen if the two games were mixed together. Well, you don’t have to wonder how it would be, because Rise of the Ronin looks to answer that exact question.
Developed by Team Ninja, the same developers who brought you games like Nioh and Ninja Gaiden, Rise of the Ronin was first introduced in 2022’s State of Play. However, it is now on the horizon and about to come out, and several fans who first saw the game during the reveal event might have forgotten the release date.
Worry not, however, as we’re here with everything you need to know about the release of Rise of the Ronin. This includes when the game will be released and which platforms it’ll be available on at launch to ensure you don’t miss it.

When Will Rise of the Ronin Be Released?
Getting right into the meat and potatoes of the conversation, when will Rise of the Ronin be released? Well, Team Ninja’s latest game is slated to be released on March 22, 2024. This means that, by the time you’re reading this, the game will be just around the corner. It’s also available to pre-order both digitally from the PS Store and physically from some top retailers.
Therefore, regardless of your preferred method of purchasing a new game, you can buy Rise of the Ronin right now to prepare yourself for an experience we’re sure you won’t forget any time soon.
What Will the Deluxe Edition Have?
If you preorder or purchase the deluxe edition of Rise of the Ronin, you’ll acquire some valuable goodies that you can potentially use to make the game better for yourself. Everything included in the Deluxe Edition is mentioned below:
- Digital soundtrack
- Digital artbook
- Bando Warrior armor set
- Iga Ninja’s staff
- Japanese formal wear set
- Toyokuni paired swords
This isn’t all, as the game also has an array of preorder bonuses that we’re also listing below:
- Iga Ninja armor set
- Iga Ninja katana
- Hayabusa-ryu combat style for katana
- Hayabusa-ryu combat style for Naginata
- Nioh-ryu combat style for Katana
- Aisu Kage-ryu combat style for Katana
It’s unknown if the combat styles mentioned in the preorder bonus can be obtained naturally through grinding in the base game. However, seeing as how they’re preorder bonuses, we believe the styles will either be unobtainable in the base game or locked behind a paywall.
Which Platforms Will Rise of the Ronin Be Released For?
As for the platforms that Rise of the Ronin will be released for, unfortunately, the game is set to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive, at least at launch. Given the scope of the game and the sheer amount of high fidelity the game has, we highly doubt it would be able to run on either a last-gen console or the Nintendo Switch,
As for Xbox Series S and X, Team Ninja has not given any information on an Xbox release. When you consider the fact that Team Ninja’s previous game, Nioh 2 did not get an Xbox release either, the chances of Rise of the Ronin being released for an Xbox platform are also slim.
Finally, when it comes to the PC, Rise of the Ronin will likely get a PC version in the future. However, we don’t know how long it will take, especially when you consider how most PS first-party games and timed exclusives are getting PC versions over a year after the initial PS launch.
This concludes everything you need to know about the release date of Rise of the Ronin, including when it’ll be released and which platforms it’ll be playable on.
