Special quests in Helldivers 2 called Major Orders grant players bonus objectives and rewards. The issue that many people have reported, however, is that Major Orders are not being tracked correctly. Even after the required objectives are completed by the player, the Major Order remains pending and not complete.

This issue causes players to basically be stuck and not progress towards unlocking the upgrades or content. The developer Arrowhead Game Studios has confirmed the bug causing issues with tracking of Major Order. They are working on fixing the issue permanently but we have some workaround that will help you in the meantime.

How To Make Major Order Progress Correctly?

While Arrowhead Game Studios has not yet released an official fix to make the Major Order progress correct, we have some steps that you can try to potentially fix the issue.  The first thing you can try is to complete all 8 defense missions, as the Major Orders involve defending planets across 8 missions completing them should force you to progress.

Another thing that may help is restarting the game, this can possibly reset tracking and force the game to delete the completed objective.  Something else you can try is to complete Major Orders as co-op missions as this may improve tracking. One thing you must avoid is closing the app during Major Orders, as this could cause issues with the tracking. Finally, check for updates periodically as to when a new patch should be released soon to fix this issue permanently.

When Will the Helldivers 2 Major Order Not Progressing Error Be Fixed?

Major Orders in Helldivers 2 unlock a bunch of important upgrades and advancements for players, so we understand why players might want to get them over with as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, this error stops them from doing so. So, the question now is when the developers will eventually fix this error for good.

Well, we really can’t say. The thing about Helldivers 2 is that the game became much more popular than most players and even the developers were expecting. The flood of players trying to log in constantly has resulted in the servers being overflooded and several issues popping up that have the overloaded servers to thank.

I guess another fix would be to decrease the current player count, but what developers would want fewer players playing their game? Well, if these errors aren’t fixed then this might become a reality.
