WoW SoD Phase 3 Release Date
While the exact release date is unknown, according to Blizzard’s WoW Classic roadmap, Season of Discovery phase 3 will be released in the Spring of 2024. Since Spring has just kicked off, players can expect the official release date for WoW SoD Phase 3 to be revealed any day now.
For context, WoW SoD Phase 1 started back on November 30, 2023. Then, a little over two months later, WoW SoD Phase 2 kicked off. If the developers are trying to keep the trend going, then Phase 3 will likely start in April, although there’s no confirmation of the fact.
What Will Be New in WoW SoD Phase 3?
Naturally, since the release date is unknown, we also don’t know the specifics of what exactly the new phase will bring. However, we have details on some of the expected additions, and we can say for sure that Phase 3 is sure to kick the game into a whole new gear.
First of all, Phase 3 will increase the level cap. If you’ve been playing SoD Phase 2 then you’ll know that the level cap currently is level 40. However, Phase 3 will bump that up by a whole 10 levels to allow players to go up to level 50 if they want.
The warfront will also be moved to a different area from Stranglethorn Vale, although more details on this haven’t been given yet. Additionally, Phase 3 will introduce a new raid, and add a ton of never-before-seen profession and enchanting recipes and materials. Of course, how could we forget more Runes to power up our classes? There’s also the possibility of the new phase bringing new skill books, but hey, let’s not get too ahead of ourselves and stick to what we do know for sure.
What Should WoW SoD Phase 3 Have?
While we don’t know for certain many of the things Phase 3 will bring, we can speculate on what things fans will be more excited about. Basically, the one thing we ask for from Blizzard is to improve on the game and fix or change the complaints fans had from WoW SoD Phase 2.
One of those said complaints were the major lag and stuttering issues with STV PvP. Additionally, many fans believed that Phase 2 was just very lackluster, especially when compared to Phase 1. This led to many players losing their hype for the Phase as soon as it came out.
Finally, perhaps the biggest issue fans had with Phase 2 was that the game just felt too full and grindy. We have to remember that this is a seasonal update, which means that many players return to the game just for it. However, a lack of handholding and having to spend hours upon hours just to grind a bunch of quests just to get more gold probably isn’t how someone wants to spend their time.
There’s also the fact that while quests are designed well, there are just so many people that it just becomes not-so-fun. By working on these handful of things we have no doubt that Blizzard can potentially make Phase 3 one of the best ones in recent memory.
This concludes everything you need to know about the WoW SoD Phase 3 release date and additional details. Have you been playing the game?
